Although I believe my current receipt filing method is already quite efficient, I have a vague feeling that OCR software might make this process even easier. Over the past two years, I have been manually renaming receipt files.

An example format for receipt file names is as follows:
[Date]_[Amount]_[Country Code]_[Card Number]_[Company]_[Description].jpg

Once receipts are correctly named, an Excel spreadsheet automatically imports and sorts them by columns, including date, amount, card number, company, description, and more. I send this spreadsheet to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with hyperlinks to the receipt files, so the CFO can simply click to view the original receipts.

Previously, when colleagues returned from overseas business trips, they often handed me messy receipts to handle. For this reason, I asked them to download a free business app called "Receipts by Wave." They only need to use the app to take photos of receipts, which are then uploaded to the cloud, and I can access them through Wave's online dashboard.

Initially, I only needed the cloud functionality, but the OCR feature was an extra bonus, and its accuracy amazed me. Even when receipts are stapled to paper, it can recognize the date, amount, and company name with 99% accuracy.

If you export receipts from Wave to your computer, the file names appear as: [Date]_[Company].jpg.

Since Wave already basically meets my needs, is there another OCR software that can automatically rename receipt files according to the format in my "Receipt File Name Example" above?
