Recently, compliance responsibilities have been incorporated into my scope of work. I am in the healthcare industry and on the service provider side. Currently, I need to conduct a gap analysis to determine which areas should be prioritized. At the same time, I will also be responsible for driving the organization to prepare for the SSAE 16 audit. Based on this, I would like to ask: are there consultants who can focus specifically on compliance matters, and would they consider SSAE 16 as part of their expertise?

In the healthcare services industry, compliance requirements and audit standards are becoming increasingly stringent. SSAE 16 (i.e., Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16), as the current framework for service organization control reports, sets clear requirements for service providers' internal controls and reporting processes. My primary task is to identify the gaps between existing processes and standards, which requires a systematic assessment approach.

Given the intersection of compliance and SSAE 16, an ideal consultant should possess the following capabilities: familiarity with healthcare industry regulations (such as HIPAA, etc.), proficiency in the applicability conditions and report preparation of SSAE 16, and the ability to provide end-to-end support from gap analysis to remediation implementation. However, such hybrid experts are not common in the market, so I hope to obtain recommendations from peers or professionals.
