Our company currently uses QuickBooks Pro. I am a newly hired employee and am not yet familiar with QuickBooks' expert-level features. According to company policy, we need to accrue for paid personal time accumulated by employees during their employment, as per ASC 710-10-25-1. We must accurately reflect the corresponding expense and liability accruals in our financial reports.

Core Issue

1) Besides manually managing through general ledger entries, does QuickBooks fully support such accruals? I have not been able to obtain a clear answer from any source. QuickBooks does track hours, but that is not sufficient for financial reporting.

2) I prefer to avoid manual entry and hope to automate and optimize by integrating with our actual time tracking system.

Reference Resources and Uncertainty

I found a possibly relevant article, but I am uncertain about its applicability:QuickBooks Payroll Tips: How to Automatically Calculate and Post Accrued Vacation to a Liability Account

I would like to hear advice from those with similar experiences. I think we may need to review our payroll system from scratch.

Thanks for any feedback.
