From PeopleSoft to the Cloud: Senior Consultant Helps Micro-Enterprises Move to Cloud ERP
A senior PeopleSoft FSCM consultant (20 years of experience) is assisting very small enterprises (e.g., 3-person teams with $500K annual revenue) in designing affordable cloud ERP solutions to meet their needs for procure-to-pay, customer orders, inventory management, and basic reporting, and wishes to understand approximate implementation, hosting, and licensing costs.
I am currently assisting some clients in designing optimal solutions to support their rapid or steady business growth, while ensuring costs are controllable and basic needs are met. Here, I would like to seek your professional recommendations based on these clients' situations.
For example, I have a client company with only 3 employees and annual revenue of about $500,000. They want to use a unified system to achieve the following: Procure-to-Pay, Source-to-Settle, customer order and fulfillment information, basic reporting with simple dashboards, and possibly replace QuickBooks (though they are also open to integration if necessary). Additionally, they need inventory management and workflow notification features.
For me, paying $100,000 to implement a system to meet these current needs seems too costly. However, could you recommend the top three candidates and provide possible rough actual costs?
Specific cost items include:
- Implementation fees (one-time)
- Monthly hosting fees
- Per-user license fees (per user)
Rough estimates are sufficient. Thanks to this forum, looking forward to your help.
